ESPN is cutting ties with prominent NFL analyst and former Pittsburgh Steelers safety Ryan Clark, according to a report by The Athletic. Clark had been with the network for more than a decade, and rose to prominence of a multitude of their programming.
According to The New York Times ’ The Athletic, there had been talks about the retired safety’s firing since February this year. It was further reported that an on-air dispute with sportscaster Peter Schrager, along with other issues, affected Ryan Clark’s relationship with ESPN executives.
